10 years of product design

A bit more context
about who I am.

How I think, how I work, and how I ended up designing products across people, systems, and real-world constraints.

I'm a Product Designer with a background that spans software houses, agencies, and direct vendor work. I've operated solo, in teams, and as a one-person design function — across mobile, web, and everything in between.

Real talk

A few things I probably
should have led with.

I actually understand code.

I have a Computer Science engineering degree. That means when a developer says "that'll be expensive to implement," I know why — and I usually have an alternative ready. I don't just hand off screens and hope for the best. I understand what's happening on the other side of the handoff, and that changes the quality of everything I design.

Smart, fast, and I don't waste time.

I don't disappear for two weeks and return with a polished surprise. I move quickly, communicate as I go, and know when something is good enough to ship versus when it actually needs more work. I use AI tools, shortcuts, and systems I've built over a decade to stay efficient — without cutting corners that matter.

One-person army. Genuinely.

Research, UX, UI, copy, prototype, code, handoff, post-release iteration. I've run entire product design operations solo — and thrived. If you need someone who can cover ground without a team of five behind them, that's something I'm genuinely good at, not just willing to do.

Easy to work with. No drama, I promise.

I give direct feedback and I can take it. I don't get precious about my work. I have a sense of humor and I use it — it makes long sprints and tough reviews more survivable for everyone. I prefer a well-run project over being right, and I've never once started a design turf war.

I actually love this.

Not in a "passion project" LinkedIn post way. In a "I'll open Figma on a Saturday morning because I'm genuinely curious about a problem" way. After ten years, I still find this work interesting. That tends to show up in the output.

Remote only. Non-negotiable.

I live in the countryside and I like it that way. Quiet mornings, no open-plan office noise, and a very opinionated dog as my coworker. I've been working remotely for years and it genuinely makes me more focused, more productive, and less grumpy. In-office roles aren't something I'm looking for. That said, I can show up to a meeting or two in person — if the project warrants it and the travel is covered.

Polish timezone. Eastern and western friendly.

I'm based in Poland (CET/CEST), which turns out to be a surprisingly good overlap zone. I'm close enough to catch the morning standups of teams in the UK, the Netherlands, or Scandinavia — and late enough in the day to sync with teams in the US East Coast without anyone losing sleep. East or west, the timezone usually works.

What I actually bring to the table.

Ten years across wildly different projects, industries, and team setups. Here's what that looks like in practice.

AI is already part of how I work

I use AI tools daily — for research, copy, prototyping, and code. Not to replace thinking, but to move faster and explore more. It's now a core part of how I approach design work.

Design starts before Figma opens

The screen is the last step. I spend time mapping flows, questioning assumptions, and understanding constraints before touching any tool. Good design is 80% thinking, 20% execution.

I can code clickable prototypes — fast

When a static mockup isn't enough, I can spin up a working prototype in code. Real interactions, real feel — not just linked frames. Useful for testing, stakeholder buy-in, and dev handoff.

I've seen a lot of product territory

HealthTech, FinTech, e-commerce, SaaS, IoT, OTT, B2B, B2C — across mobile, web, tablet, and TV. That breadth means I recognize patterns quickly and don't need long ramp-up time.

I work in English — no awkward handoffs

Most of my work has been with English-speaking clients and international teams. I write specs, run workshops, and present work in English. No translation layer, no lost nuance.

End-to-end, not just the pretty part

Discovery, flows, edge cases, copy, handoff, post-release iteration. I've owned the full design cycle across products — not just the screens that end up in the case study.

Vendortrax — Contract

May 2025 - Present (8 months)
Senior Product Designer

At Vendortrax I design and shape products directly for U.S.-based clients, working across mobile applications, web platforms, and supporting materials such as pitch decks. I have a strong voice in defining product direction, often acting as the primary design decision-maker across client initiatives. Alongside client work, I collaborate directly with the product owner and main investor, contributing to strategic decisions that shape both individual products and the broader product offering.

SoftCraft AS — Contract

Jul 2025 - Present (6 months)
Product Designer

At SoftCraft I design complex digital products for clients across the U.S., Norwegian, and Polish markets. My work focuses on large-scale, system-driven applications, including solutions for nationwide waste management used across municipalities in Norway. I collaborate closely with product owners, engineers, and stakeholders to design flows that handle complex logic, data structures, and real operational constraints — turning heavy systems into usable, understandable products.

Conflict — Contract

Feb 2022 - Present (3 years)
Lead Product Designer

At Conflict Inc. I work exclusively with U.S.-based clients, leading design efforts across web applications, mobile apps, and websites. My role spans both product and delivery — from shaping core user experiences to designing supporting materials such as marketing assets and presentations. I collaborate closely with clients and development teams to ensure consistency across product, brand, and communication, adapting design solutions to different business goals and stages.

Open Loyalty — Full time

Mar 2023 - Aug 2025 (2 years, 6 months)
Senior Product Designer

At Open Loyalty I worked as part of a design team responsible for shaping and evolving the entire product. My role focused on designing complex SaaS functionality, collaborating closely with other designers, product managers, and engineering teams. Together, we worked on improving core product flows, system consistency, and usability across a large, modular platform used by enterprise clients.

OAK Theory — Contract

Feb 2023 - May 2023 (4 months)
Product Designer

I worked on design initiatives for U.S.-based enterprise clients across regulated and large-scale industries, including technology and healthcare. My role involved designing internal-facing and customer-facing digital products while aligning design decisions with strict brand, legal, and organizational requirements.

Spyrosoft (Better Software Group & Better Soft Service) — Full time

Aug 2021 - Mar 2023 (1 year, 8 months)
Product Designer

I worked in a software house environment where design meant handling everything — from discovery to delivery — across multiple platforms and industries. My projects included OTT and Smart TV experiences, IoT interfaces, mobile applications, and web platforms, often within tight timelines and shifting requirements. This role strengthened my ability to quickly adapt, collaborate with engineering teams, and design solutions grounded in technical realities.

Beauty Agency — Co-Founder

Apr 2019 - Mar 2022 (3 years)
Side project

An attempt to build my own marketing agency together with a co-owner. The agency grew steadily with a three-person team managing both creative and operational work. Over time, I realized that marketing agencies were not the direction I wanted to pursue long-term, and I decided to step away, leaving the agency to my co-owner. This experience gave me a strong understanding of marketing, client communication, and business realities — skills that continue to shape how I design products today.

mDevelopers — Full time

Sept 2017 - Oct 2020 (3 years, 2 months)
UI Designer
Dec 2017 - Oct 2020
Graphic Designer
Sept 2017 - Nov 2017

At mDevelopers, a Polish software house, I worked on a wide range of digital products for diverse clients and industries. I initially joined the team as a designer focused on small design elements and print materials, but quickly transitioned into a UI Designer role, working on full, commercial digital products. This marked the beginning of my professional work on applications — collaborating with international teams and clients, designing user interfaces within established frameworks, and learning how real-world software products are built and delivered.

Manager-art — Full time

Jan 2017 - Oct 2017 (10 months)
UI Designer

In my first fully compensated design role, I wore multiple hats in a busy creative environment. I designed and delivered websites, logos, brand collateral, and printed materials while managing production details with local printing partners, including proofs, materials, and finish specifications. I also collaborated with the event team to create coordinated visual assets for exhibitions, campaigns, and on-site branding. This experience strengthened my skills in visual problem-solving, communication with non-design stakeholders, and execution across digital and physical media.

2013–2016

Jan Długosz University, Częstochowa

Information Technology — Design & Multimedia

During my engineering studies, I focused on combining design with strong technical foundations. A significant part of the program involved programming and understanding how software is built — including algorithms, data structures, and system logic. Alongside technical subjects, I worked on design and multimedia projects, learning how visual decisions connect with implementation constraints. This education shaped my ability to collaborate closely with developers and approach design with a solid understanding of technical realities.

2010–2013

Zespół Szkół Morskich, Świnoujście (Uniformed Technical School)

Computer Science — Design & Multimedia

My first formal education in computer science within a disciplined, uniformed school environment. This is where I started learning programming fundamentals, working with databases, and using early design tools such as GIMP and Photoshop. The structured setup of the school shaped my approach to problem-solving, responsibility, and consistency — foundations that continue to influence how I work today.

Over the years, these foundations evolved into product design work focused on people, processes, and practical decision-making.

I value clarity, collaboration, and designs that hold up outside of ideal scenarios.

If this feels relevant, let's talk.

Whether it's about your project, an open role, team extension, short or long-term collaboration — or just an idea you want to bounce off someone. I'm nice, I promise.
