Online Prescription Ordering Solution

As the UI/UX designer, I worked on creating an online prescription ordering system for one of the largest healthcare providers with an e-commerce platform for purchasing medications. The main goal was to design a solution that not only helped patients with chronic conditions by providing them access to regular medication subscriptions and emergency refills but also increased the platform’s revenue through improved usability and customer retention. A doctor oversaw the process to ensure safety and compliance at every step.

The project began by mapping out the user flow, ensuring a smooth and intuitive journey for patients, from browsing to checkout. I developed wireframes to plan the structure and functionality, which were then refined into high-fidelity designs based on feedback from stakeholders and early test users. The designs adhered strictly to the brand’s design system, maintaining visual consistency while improving user experience. Collaboration with developers ensured the final solution was efficient, user-friendly, and capable of driving both customer satisfaction and business growth

Based on feedback from stakeholders and early test users, I refined the wireframes and delivered high-fidelity designs. These designs adhered strictly to the brand’s established design system, ensuring consistency with its visual identity and usability standards. Close collaboration with developers ensured the final product was functional, efficient, and easy to use for all patients.

Health and Wellness Landing Pages

In addition to the prescription system, I worked on health-focused landing pages covering topics such as hair loss, breastfeeding, and general wellness tips. These pages were designed to help users find valuable information while driving traffic to the e-commerce platform and increasing sales of related medications and health products.

The process started with designing user flows to ensure visitors could quickly find relevant content and take action. I then created wireframes to structure the pages and high-fidelity designs for a polished, professional look. To support scalability, I developed a reusable design system and detailed documentation, enabling the quick and consistent creation of additional landing pages.

What I learned

Designing to Help People
Working on the prescription ordering system and health-focused landing pages reinforced the value of designing solutions that make a real difference in people’s lives. I learned how thoughtful design can help patients access the medications and resources they need, improving their health and well-being.

Expanding My Experience in HealthTech
This project deepened my knowledge of the healthcare industry, especially in creating digital solutions that balance patient safety with usability. It introduced me to the complexities of HealthTech, such as managing doctor oversight, ensuring compliance, and designing for sensitive use cases like chronic illnesses.

Empathy-Driven Design
Designing for patients with health challenges taught me to approach every decision with empathy, understanding their unique needs and constraints. It also highlighted how small improvements in the user journey can have a significant impact on someone’s experience.
